Daily Maintenance:
• White Ink Agitation: If your model uses white ink, remove and gently shake the white ink cartridges every morning before printing to prevent settling.
• Nozzle Check: Always print a test print at the beginning of the day to ensure all nozzles are firing perfectly.
• Wiper Cleaning: Wipe down the rubber wiper blades to remove accumulated ink mist and paper lint using your cleaning stick.
• Table Cleaning: Wipe off any grime, debris, or scattered ink from the printer’s flatbed table using a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent and water.
• Cap Tops: Clean around the rubber gaskets of the cap tops. A clean seal is critical to prevent the printhead nozzles from drying out.
Weekly / Routine Maintenance:
• Manual Cleaning Cycle: Enter the manual cleaning mode using your control panel or the Roland Mobile Panel app. Follow the step-by-step prompts to thoroughly clean the printhead perimeter and surrounding areas.
• Print Head Protection: If you are storing the printer for the weekend or for an extended period of time without power, ensure you apply a Roland-approved printhead protectant liquid to the cap tops to keep the heads hydrated.
• UV Lamps: Gently inspect and clean the glass surfaces of the UV lamps with an alcohol wipe. Any buildup of ink here will prevent proper UV curing.
