Daily & Routine Upkeep:
• Keep Powered On: Do not shut off the machine daily. The printer automatically performs maintenance cycles and moisturizing processes every 24 hours to prevent nozzle clogs.
• Operating Environment: Maintain a room temperature between 15°C to 35°C (59°F – 95F°) with 20% to 85% relative humidity to prevent extreme temperature or humidity from affecting ink viscosity.
Monthly Manual Cleaning:
Clean the machine once a month using an official or equivalent maintenance kit containing lint-free cloths, cotton swabs, ink cleaning solution, and a silicone scraper.
• Prep: Wear protective gloves, put on safety glasses, and turn off the device safely.
• UV Lamp: Wipe the lamp surface using a swab moistened with cleaning solution, and buff off any residue with a dry cloth.
• Print Head Perimeter: Clean the perimeter of the print head and the ink station. Caution: Do not touch the delicate nozzles directly with the swab.
• Scraper & Nozzle Area: Use the silicone scraper to carefully wipe away any uncured ink residue around the nozzle area to prevent buildup.
• Axis Lubrication: Apply eufy anti-rust lubricating oil to the Y-axis and platform plate to ensure the bed moves smoothly.
Quarterly (3-Month) Deep Clean:
Once every three months, you should conduct a deeper maintenance routine:
• Encoder Strip: Clean the delicate encoder strip using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with 99% industrial alcohol.
• Replace Worn Parts: Swap out your old silicone ink scraper for a fresh one to maintain clean and accurate ink wiping.
Long-Term Storage (1+ Weeks)
If you are going out of town or won't use the printer for a few weeks:
• Force Moisturizing: Hold the start button for 5+ seconds to force a deep moisturizing cycle.
• Power Down & Protect: Shut off and unplug the machine. Manually slide the print head over and top off the capping station with print head protectant liquid.
• Storage Conditions: Store in a dry, dust-free environment out of direct sunlight, ideally between 5°C and 35°C.
