Daily Maintenance:
• Run Test Prints: Print a test pattern daily to check for missing nozzles or banding.
• Automated Nozzle Cleaning: Utilize KingJet's built-in software to run an automated cleaning and moisturizing cycle to ensure ink doesn't harden inside the nozzles.
• Clean the Wiper and Capping Station: At the end of the day, use a lint-free swab moistened with cleaning fluid to gently wipe away accumulated ink and debris from the wiper blade and printhead cap.
Weekly & Periodic Care:
• White Ink Circulation: If you use a KingJet DTF printer, manually shake the white ink tanks and stir the circulation system daily/weekly to prevent pigment settling and subsequent clogs.
• Clean the Printhead Manually: Carefully wipe the edges of the printhead with cleaning solution and a lint-free swab if you notice ink streaking or severe blockage.
• Encoder Strip Maintenance: Wipe the encoder strip with a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to remove dust that may cause carriage errors.
Environmental Controls:
• Temperature & Humidity: Keep the printer in an environment with a temperature of 18°C – 26°C (64°F – 79°F) and a relative humidity between 38% and 65%. Extreme fluctuations cause the ink to dry too quickly or components to become brittle.
Spare Parts & Support:
• Wear & Tear Parts: Regularly check and replace wearable parts such as dampers, wiper blades, and ink pumps when they begin to degrade.
