OMTech Recommended Maintenance

Daily Maintenance & Operation:

• Print Every Day: OMTech generally recommends running a test print daily to keep the ink flowing. If your printer is equipped with an automated self-maintenance system (like the Aurora DTF series), ensure the power is left on so it can run its automated printhead moisturizing cycles.

• White Ink Agitation: If you are running white ink, make sure to shake the white ink bottles/cartridges daily to prevent the heavier pigments from settling and clogging the lines.

Weekly Maintenance:

• Capping Station and Wipers: Use a foam swab lightly dampened with UV cleaning solution to gently wipe the rubber capping station and the ink wiper blade. This removes excess ink buildup and ensures a proper seal.

• Printhead Plate: Using a lint-free polyester wipe (avoid cotton) and cleaning solution, carefully wipe the underside of the printhead plate to remove ink overspray. Never directly touch the delicate nozzles.

• Waste Ink: Check your waste ink bottle and empty it as needed to prevent messy overflows.
